GeoStru Software

Dynamic Probe

This software performs Dynamic Penetrometer reading recording and interpretation, storage and management of any type of penetrometer including new or personalized equipment and of in borehole SPT readings.

Dynamic Probing provides functions for archival of readings by site and for automatic calculation of the real energy transmitted, including correction for warp, and of the correlation coefficient with SPT (Standard reference for geomechanic calculations and geotechnic correlations).

Processing of data is instantaneous deriving the values of Ndp & Rd and immediately generating a graphic display. Moreover the software proposes discrete layer boundaries and enables bitmaps or colours to be assigned for lithologic coding. In geotechnic calculation for coherent and incoherent terrains, several correlations are available for diverse lithologic types allowing a more precise ‘geotechnic calibration’ for the specific trials zone.

Dynamic Probing enables the export of graphics in DXF or XLS, provides bearing capacity calculation with diverse foundation geometries (beam, plinth, plate, etc.) and relative settlements, verification of piles and definition of the liquefaction potential in terrains subject to seismic forces.

Graphics may be exported to Slope Stability Analysis, Foundation Bearing Capacity, Piles, Micropiles etc.

Static Probe

Static Probing provides a tool for the recording, management, processing and archiving of readings obtained by static penetrometry instruments, in a reactive continuous graphic environment, supported by a database of correlative methods and parameters for the determination of soil types, aimed at the generation of a comprehensive mapping of the subsurface.

The graphic display and process support enables the terrain to be catalogued, parameterised and compared with adjacent borings to gain an insight of the stratigraphy encountered.

The stratigraphy of the terrain is derived automatically, for each instrument step, based on the type of lithologic interpretation selected for the instrument. Thus in the graphic display, layers are inserted, and the various relevant authorities are consulted to display lithological evaluations of the strata traversed.

Soil section mapping, tailored to other Geostru S.a.S. software, can be generated for lines connecting test borings.

Penetrometric probes enable fairly accurate evaluations of the depth of lithologic boundaries in the substrata, depth of water table, breach surfaces on slopes as well as the general consistency of the terrain.

Piles and Micropiles

Pile and micropile  software is intended for calculation of the bearing capacity of the foundation terrain of a pile or micropile bearing  loads in whatever distribution (moment, normal force, shear). Structural calculation yielding dimensions of longitudinal steel struts, interval and size of rings is also performed.

The worksheet, upon which is shown the plan of piles or micropiles inserted in the foundation terrain, may be dimensioned as required.

Geometric characteristics of the paling and the elements connected thereto (loads, location of trial sounding/boring and seismic stress) together with the geotechnic parameters of the terrain may be entered and altered within the worksheet activating the available functions either in the drop down menus, relocatable toolbars or through hot keys.

Stratigrapher

This program permits the construction of stratigraphic columns for geologic or geotechnical usage. The lithologic and the generic characteristics verticals  of the lithotypes recorded during trial borings are prospected side by side.

The relevant bitmap patterns can be inserted directly from libraries whose backgrounds and textures  may be updated and personalized.

The program permits automatic modification of the interface level of lithologic properties and the insertion of the standard trial results obtained during borings (Packet, Vane, sampling and Phreatic water table etc..)

Moreover, saving the columns permits their export and insertion in the profiles of other Geostru programs(compatible wit
