Global Stability Verification

Global stability verification is carried out with reference to potential failure surfaces that do not involve the reinforcements (Fig. 3b). Specifically, the analysis is conducted using well-known limit equilibrium methods, dividing the potentially unstable soil wedge into an appropriate number of slices and imposing equilibrium conditions based on certain assumptions that vary depending on the calculation method used. In the following, global stability verification is performed interoperably with the SLOPE software.
